Day 86
(This message is mainly for local folks :)
It’s that steps forward/steps back thing…
The good news/bad news thing….
Good news: Dan did really well on his swallowing test today. The first liquid in almost three months: Thickened grape juice. He loved it!
Bad news– Among some other problems, Dan has a contagious intestinal condition called CDiff. So no visitors for now.
Prayers are good news, always! Thank you all.

Thank you so much for taking time to post reports. We praise God with you for every improvement–however small. Our prayers continue for you both.
Praying that all is resolved quickly. Love to you and your family.
Hope they can get this under control quickly. Still trying to fathom them letting him sit in a chair but not make sure he’d be able to stay sitting! Thankful that he’s okay and didn’t damage anything!
Continuing to pray!
Psalms 34:17-19 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Sorry to hear about his intestinal problems, but glad that he is finally able to take some nourishment by mouth. Your previous e-mail gave us all encouragement. We are all so very appreciative for you keeping us updated.
Pete
Stopping by to let you know that you’re always in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 91:1-2, 4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Hope they caught the maggots! Gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about them…
Whatever the Lord allows to happen in your life, He’ll get you through! Praying right now!
Psalms 91:9-12 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Please be careful not to catch the contagious condition yourself. Love and prayers to you all.
We are old college friends of Dan’s and were told of his illness by another college friend, Pete Ramsey. We had “lost track” of Dan over the years. We consider it our blessing
to pray for Dan’s health, for his caregivers, and for his family and friends to have the strength to endure such a grueling trial. Your faith through this journey is an incredible witness.
We continue to pray for our old friend. –Nancy Gallimore
Continuing to pray!
Psalms 91:14-15 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
I’m here praying right now.
Psalms 116:1-5 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
