A brief update
Praise be to God that Dan tolerated the ride over and the surgical procedure in which a stent was removed and at least one stone blasted apart and flushed out. He is spending the night in Presbyterian Hospital, but although his surgery was finished a couple of hours ago he is still in the recovery room because there is not a bed for a ventilator patient available.
Everyone is apologizing to me but I am content because he is being taken care of and I am nearby. So I’m just happy to be here.
Thank you for your prayers and concern. I’m sorry I don’t respond to individual posts but am grateful.

Latayne, we’re rejoicing with you that Dan came through the surgery so well. I pray you have a rest-filled night. You don’t ever have to apologize for not responding to the emails you receive. Love you.
He will feel much better getting rid of that stone. Praying for Him and strength for you too. You are an amazing woman whom I hope to meet one day.
My dear, sweet friend, please eliminate the word “apologize” from your vocabulary for awhile. It is NOT needed. We just appreciate you taking the time to update us and we are grateful for the success of today’s procedures. Continued love and prayers for all of you.
Dear Latayne,
A few weeks ago I noticed the name of Dan Scott on the prayer list of our church Sunday a.m. handout. I wondered…checked the site listed and sure enough found out what was going on in your lives, yours and Dans. I remembered meeting a woman while on a recent cruise to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island who came through this disease and has devoted her life through its support organization (can’t spell the name of this condition) by traveling around the country and advising and encouraging those suffering from it. She lives in the Dallas area. If you are interested, I can get her email address. Or, you may already have access to such help. It is encouraging to read all the prayers that are going to the Healer on your behalf. I, like your daughter, love your words. Grateful to have sat at your feet … in Amarillo, at Pepperdine, at Red River, whenever you are driving distance, I will be there … when the Lord delivers you from this crisis.
Blessings and prayers, Barbara Camp
I wish you’d stop apologizing, too! Everyone understands!!!!!! Thanking the Lord that he made it through okay. Praying for his recovery now!
Psalms 18:28-30 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Latayne,
So glad to hear that he made it through the surgery and is recuperating. I completely agree with some of the other posts and have never expected any response. Your plate ‘runneth over’ with enormous responsibilities. I just appreciate any news you can find the time to post. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Danny every day.
Still praying and loving you all from Texas…
Love,
Tara (East) Thompson
I’m rejoicing, too, Latayne. Thank you so much for keeping us updated.
Dear Latayne, we so very much appreciate your updates. We have prayed diligently and continue to do so. Sent a package out your way with love from the Schwandelly. Hugs.
Hope he’s still doing well from the surgery!
Know that I’m still here praying!
Psalms 40:1-4a I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust…
Latayne and Family, Thanks to Noel and others who keep this blog going. We continue to pray for Dan as he struggles through this, and thankful for the improvement and hope. Grace and Peace LaNell and David
