Storm of 07
The weekend had all kinds of promise to be a time to catch up, enjoy some extra working time, and relaxation.
When the lights flickered for the last time at 8:30 pm, however, we knew our plans came to naught.
We, along with 80 percent of Springfield, lost power after 2 inches of ice fell, breaking trees and power lines. We did what most people did – skip houses – when one lost power – on to the next. Today, Noel and I are VERY thankful to be with friends who have power, internet and coffee:). It’s the little things . . .
We’re so thankful to be warm and safe; but please keep the very young and the very old especially in your prayers. So many people are without.
Sure, our home may be without power till the weekend or longer but we’re thankful for loving friends who open their homes to us. It’s hard to believe how very little we really do need.

Wow! I can’t believe it. I’m glad you guys are okay. SOrry you are without power, though. That ice is crazy! Are you supposed to see warmer days soon?
I am so glad y’all have a warm place to go. Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers!
