Regions of the US

This is something I found on Luke Hartman’s Blog. I thought it was funny… and so, so true!

We’re not laughing AT you Texas… we’re laughing “WITH” you!

The Market in Muscat

The market in Muscat, Oman is amazing. It is corridor after corridor after corridor of shops in little hollowed out garage-type doorways. Some of them you can walk into, but most are just as big as a small storage area. The people will all say, “Hello sir, welcome… fine…” and then finish it with whatever they’re selling. You have to be ready to ignore people, but when you actually buy something from someone then they’re very nice to you. You can also haggle with them, and even leave and come back to get a lower price. It was a lot of fun and we got some cool stuff.

At the small market

We stopped at this smaller market somewhere outside of Muscat. It was pretty neat… the vegetable market next door was amazing though! We had fresh coconut juice… right out of the coconut. Henry loved it!

The Naseem Hotel in Muscat

Here are some pictures looking out from our hotel room in Muscat, Oman. It was an awesome litte room… though not as nice as the Ramada, it was still pretty nice, and the view made it that much better!

Leaving the hotel on the way to see the coast.
